Terms

These terms cover your use of Keynotr as a speaker. Keynotr is run by Victor K. (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them. If something here is unclear, email hello@keynotr.com.

The service

Keynotr gives you a branded feedback survey for each talk, a live dashboard, and a PDF report when the talk closes. Your first talk is free, with up to 100 responses and a small “Powered by Keynotr” line. After that you can buy single talks or an annual plan.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email, so keep that inbox secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for the content you add, such as your logo, questions and giveaway files. You must have the right to share it.

Your attendees’ data

For attendee responses you are the controller and we are your processor (see the privacy policy). You agree to:

• use contact details only for the purposes the attendee ticked;
• quote feedback only from people who agreed to be quoted, and attribute it as they allowed;
• respond to attendees who ask to see, correct or delete their data;
• not use Keynotr to collect sensitive data, such as health information or ID numbers, or data from children.

We process that data only to run the service for you, keep it confidential, and delete it when you delete it.

Payments

Payments are taken by Polar, our merchant of record, which also handles tax and receipts. A talk credit is used when a talk goes live and doesn’t expire. The annual plan renews each year until you cancel. Cancelling keeps it active until the end of the period you paid for. If something went wrong with a purchase, email hello@keynotr.com and we will put it right.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Keynotr to send spam, to mislead people about who is collecting their data, to upload malware or unlawful content, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Keynotr running and your data safe, but the service is provided as is. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending

You can export your data and delete your account at any time under Account. We may end the service with at least 30 days’ notice by email, giving you time to export.

Changes and law

We will email you before material changes to these terms take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
